BOARD MEETINGS

The London Police Service Board (the Board) holds up to 12 regular open Board meetings a year.

The Board meets regularly to provide oversight, set priorities, and ensure effective policing that reflects community needs. At these meetings, the Board:

  • Monitors organizational performance through routine updates and reports from the Chief of Police on operational matters, strategic initiatives, and community concerns
  • Approves policies, and monitors and approves the budget and the Strategic Plan
  • Receives presentations from police leadership, external experts, and community stakeholders
  • Discusses key issues such as crime trends, public safety initiatives, diversity and inclusion efforts, and legislative changes
  • Hears from delegations on matters of public interest
  • Receives updates from its standing committees and Board representatives
  • Engages in discussions and asks questions to inform decision making
