The Mandate and
Role of the Board

The London Police Service Board (the Board) acts on behalf of the community to oversee the delivery of policing services in the City of London. The Board provides strategic direction and governance to the London Police Service (LPS), ensuring accountability, transparency and responsiveness to the needs of London’s diverse communities.

Public safety remains our top priority. Policing in Ontario is guided by the Community Safety and Policing Act, which emphasizes the provision of adequate, effective and community-focused policing services.
